- Planning of materials, Budgeting
- Evaluation of spares-Capital and Consumable spares and critical path analysis
- Stores management-Material handling, Stores accountability and storage maintenance
- Evaluation of safety stock limits and inventory order levels and balanced stock levels conforming to the demand from the field
- Codification and classification of stores
- Raising Purchase orders, chasing, quality checks, receipts, stocking and retrieving
- Standardization and computerization of stores
- Disposal of scrap and unserviceable materials
- Tendering and Tender analysis
- All stores correspondence, appraisals and prompt communication with controlling officers and the field
