General Manager Production

Job Description
 
Experience : 18- 25 years
Qualification: BE/ Btech

Production Planning
  • Should execute and monitor material feeding to shop floor.
  • Should plan, execute and monitor production as per API or customer satisfaction on shop floor including self maintenance of welding section.
  • Should make and update of all type of ISO related and production related documents.
  • Should co-ordinate with quality department in microstructure analysis and distractive testing of weld metal like charppy impact, tensile, hardness testing as per API standards.
  • Overseeing production related tasks including planning, control and trouble shooting.
  • Setting up production targets and achieve the same.
  • Optimizing man & machine utilisation to achieve pre set production targets.
  • Developing new process concepts for production optimization, yield improvement and develop guidelines for the sequencing of manufacturing activities on the shop floor (SOP).
  • Identifying areas of improvement and recommending process modifications and equipment calibrations to enhance operational efficiencies of machine / equipment.
  • Preparing various MIS and reports related to activities on production floor.
  • Preparing & recommending budgets by implementing cost control initiatives. Develop short & long range plans. Prepares project phase plans, schedules & cost estimates. Plan, Budget & implement product, process, equipment upgrades as per Industry standards & best practices.
Process Engineering/Improvement
  • Managing systems, processes and procedures to facilitate smooth functioning of overall process operations and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Analyzing various processes/applications; ensuring optimum utilisation of available resources, cost/time savings and improvement in productivity & profitability.
  • Effective resource planning for optimizing man & machine utilization
People Management

  • Developing, managing and monitoring the performance of multi-skilled work force and conceptualising need-based training programs for performing maintenance operations.
  • Managing and leading team members and conducting periodic project progress review meetings to ensure specified time and cost parameters are being.
  • Managing implementation of policies and development of new employees and appraisals in the organisation.
  • Handling training programmes based on the training need analysis to elevate the skills & productivity of employees
Maintenance Operations

  • Planning and effecting preventive maintenance schedules of various hydraulic and pneumatic machineries to increase machine up time and equipment reliability.
  • Proactively identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns and take steps to rectify the equipments through application of trouble shooting tools and spare parts planning.
  • Executing cost saving and energy saving techniques/measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M Expenditures and work within the budget.
MIS 
 
Generate & maintain relevant MIS/documentation on daily, fortnightly, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly & annual basis. Monitor performance of service providers in the relevant functional area.

AUDIT 
 
Ensure smooth flow of input materials & delivery of FG's from factory to customers. Inventory control by minimizing Lead time for raw materials & consumables. Ensure stock accuracy, review storage conditions conduct internal audit.

BENCHMARKING
 
Fix maximum & minimum re-order levels for all stock items, ensure that levels fixed are scientific, practical & as per the guidelines laid down for the purpose.

STOCK ANALYSIS 
 
Ensure that stock carrying cost is the minimum possible & that working capital is not locked in unnecessary items through various quantitative & qualitative analysis.

He should have exposure to work in welding process like SAW, GMAW, SMAW
